Before I became a photographer I traveled a lot and for a long time and that comes in handy now. I adapt easily and am accessible to others. After an English-language HBO Leisure Management course in Amsterdam, I worked in hostels for a while, both in the Netherlands and abroad. I now live in Alkmaar again, close to my family and have been the father of a cheerful daughter since 2016. Things that make me happy include my little one's endless smiles and hugs; in the morning the Volkskrant at breakfast; cooking without packages; lounging with an English book on my e-reader; camping; skippy peanut butter with nuts; browsing thrift stores and cool Netflix series.

I started as an independent photographer in 2013. In the beginning, I did a lot of different types of photography. From photographing bands to portraits and from product photography to corporate events. But soon I chose to focus entirely on spontaneous (wedding) photography because that's what I really enjoy doing. In addition to weddings, I sometimes also do other assignments, such as family photography or family shoots, but with every report, spontaneous photos are always the common thread in what I do. The cheerfulness, the exuberance, the fun locations, every day is different and I enjoy capturing everything in a spontaneous way every time.
