Julie's fascination with photography started early. Hanging in her family home were two side-by-side portraits: one of her sister, perfectly coiffed and surrounded by carefully arranged stuffed animals; and one of Julie, tangled hair, one sock falling down and struggling to put on a pair of shoes. Julie passed those photos every day until the idea that people and character should be in photographs was as second nature as bee-bopping to ’80s music. Fast-forward fifteen years and you will meet a self-made, successful, award-winning artists who, despite her interest in all visual mediums, has devoted herself exclusively to candid moment driven photojournalistic photography in Key West, Florida. Below the bubbly surface that will charm, is a serious professional and incredible artist.
Hi, I'm Sam: a photo-taking, baby-making, adventure-seeking mama + photographer. For my "Real Life Family" sessions, I prefer to ditch the park setting and capture your family as you REALLY ARE. I offer both "Breakfast" and "Bedtime" sessions, where I shadow your crew for a few hours either first thing in the morning, or last in the evening, to capture the details of your world and the moments that make up your days. Let's trade in the matching outfits on the beach for pajamas with a side of morning cuddles and teeth brushing, or dinner time chaos and bedtime stories. Or invite me along for your day at Disney or fishing in the Keys! Come home from vacation with a souvenir that really brings back the memories and keeps them for safe keeping. I'm a mother of two myself, and nothing we own means more to me then our family albums: easily the first thing I'd grab on the way out if the place was on fire. Those albums begin at birth, and there are few things like the honor of taking someone's very first portrait. I've had the joy of supporting women in labor and documenting the last leg of their journey to meeting their new babies. There's nothing like it. Before becoming parents, my husband and I specialized in destination wedding photography and have had the pleasure to document wedding celebrations all over the United States, the Bahamas, and into Europe. Beyond photography, I love being a mom and a wife, gardening, decorating, dancing, traveling, sewing, clean sheets, dinner parties, snow boarding, camping, IPAs, hiking, and that tingly feeling when you first get into a hot bath. I love great late-night conversations that dig deep, karaoke in dive bars where people are performing like they're on the verge of a midlife crisis, and the rush of Christmas mornings. And I'd love to connect with fresh families that dig my style and would like to document their families.
I want to capture the family moments that have the real laughing, the struggles, the accidents, the tears, and all kinds of irreplicable moments. I don't need the family to pose in front of my camera, just be whoever you are, the real you is the most precious part of your family story.
After getting married, in 2009, we decided to start our own photography company to offer services that we would have liked to receive, that is how Wedding Photos were born, 8 years later we had our little Fabiana and the same thing happened to us. Now we want to offer customers services and amenities that we would have liked to have, so we are undertaking this new project called My First Memories. Victor has been a photographer for 10 years and recently completed his film studies in New York, his work has been exhibited in several cities around the world and now he combines his work as a photographer with his passion for making films. Mariana is an industrial scientist and the brain behind our projects, with a Master in Marketing, has made these dreams come true. Now she combines her work with being a full-time mother and certified breastfeeding counselor (so any doubt she can help them). Fabiana arrived in July to brighten our lives, fill us with inspiration, fight to make the world a better place and pursue our dreams to always be close to her. She is a very sweet and cheerful girl who is sure to help liven up your session
