Antwerp family and wedding photographer Joshua Dhondt - FPJA of Belgium and Flanders

Photography and people are Joshua’s two greatest passions. Utterly curious – a nice legacy she got from her grandmother – she loves to meet new people, observe them and capture what they are all about. She is both outgoing and calm so to make everyone feel at ease. Very patient, she has a special radar for shenanigans. Her goal is to document small but great moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, to capture the moment just as it felt that day. She is a visual storyteller. Mostly self-taught, she has been a professional photographer for the last 11 years, full time since 2013. She is based in Antwerp, Belgium, and travels in (and sometimes out) Europe for Family, Day in the Life sessions and Weddings. She is at her best when shooting true, unstaged and profound moments and events – in a relaxed atmosphere.

Rosa Engel is a Family and Birth Photographer from Aachen, NRW

With my documentary family photography, I capture for you how life has felt with your children. Time flies by and often we are not aware of it in everyday life. Before we know it, our tiny newborn has become a curious explorer and schoolchild. Every time something new starts, it also means saying goodbye to something that works. As mean as it may sound, you are growing up fast, your children. The times when they sneak into your bed at night or cling to you with sticky ice paws on hot summer days and whisper in your ear how much they love you are only a brief moment in your life. In my pictures, you see in many years, as the head of your baby fits exactly in your hand, how the little fist has closed around your index finger and also what it was like with a hungry child on the arm to warm the vial and simultaneously to rummage for a fresh body. You can see the amazing Ceiling Castles and Legoberge your kindergartner produced in his room and feel what it was like to eat together. Happy ketchup-smeared mouths and crying broccoli protest included. It's the little things that make your time with your kids so special. And these little things are in constant change because little people want nothing more urgent than growing up very quickly. My photographs are a snapshot in this fast-paced roller coaster ride. They make possible what is really not possible: to stop time, to maintain a feeling and to experience happiness again and again.
