Hertfordshire family reportage photography by Emily Renier of England

I am Emily Renier, a calm, sensitive and quirky Belgian-born photographer with a passion for being who we are unashamedly. My commitment is pure and simple - to tell your story sensitively and with humanity. Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire but working across the UK, I produce images and photo albums that you will cherish for decades to come.

Hugger. Mother. Earl Grey tea drinker. And, oh yes. Rather importantly, I'm obsessed with light, finding it and looking at it. I love just watching different qualities of light and seeing how it moves and changes the world. I'm a former BBC journalist who went on to study an MA in Photojournalism and follow my photography passion. Photographing families and creating memories for them was born out of that passion.

I love the pull of a powerful photograph to evoke memories of a particular moment and feeling in time. There is no greater love than that of a parent to a child, and I believe when you view an image of your child, you are not just seeing a picture of a boy or girl, but all the characteristics and quirks that make your child so special. Yes, we can have that same feeling with pictures taken on our phones, but having a set of images where you are all interacting with each other, bonding as a family, are memories worth making.
