I was born and raised in Bucarest (Romania) but moved to Italy after winning a scholarship to the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. For 3 years I wandered the university classrooms and the Venice canals, before fate intervened during Carnevale resulting in my move to Modena. Who would have thought that the stranger who sat down before me to have his face painted would soon become my best friend, husband and travel companion. Traveling is part of my DNA. Simply put, I’m a tiny nomad who loves exploring and discovering the world around me. Photography is also part of my DNA. I originally inheriting this passion from my father who loved to lock himself in the darkroom for hours. Now I’m thinking that he was doing it to “escape” my mother, but no way he will ever admit that! My passion has been further fueled by my husband who is a professional photographer. Much of our early relationship was spent in the darkroom and this is how I finally understand the quiet time my father was searching for. Today we both shoot digital, but I miss the darkroom with all its chemical solutions, the waiting time, the handmade doge and burn and the excitement before you turned the lights back on. The thing I don’t miss is the weight of the rolls of film in our suitcases! Today, Filippo continues to challenge me to look deeper through the lens and capture those real moments; not just a picture. This is how I came to understand and love providing families a window into the magical and invisible world the kids built around them, an unforgettable image of the endless love their parents have for them and the family’s story written in the light and shadows of the pictures. We don’t have kids of our own, for now, but we have each other, 2 cats, our passion for photography and lots of dreams for the future.
Cristian and I, we are workmates, but also friends and above all husband and wife. Beyond photography, we love to travel, especially with our motorcycles Our Travel! An innate passion for photography in all its forms, this animates US!!! I have been a professional photographer for more than ten years specializing in portrait and ceremony photography, experienced in photographing weddings, maternity and children.
I was born in 1970 in a lovely place close to Lake Como and Lake Maggiore, beautiful lakes of Northern Italy. Since I was a little boy I have been fascinated by “photography” and it is now twenty years that I have been working in this field. In the last fifteen years I have been working as a photographer, especially for weddings. In 2012, in Milan, I set up “WeddingStudio” together with other colleagues. I take photos of wedding days giving a “ photojournalistic” cut to my pictures. That is why I define myself as a “modern storyteller”. Telling stories and touching people through my pictures: that is what I love to do. That is my job and my passion. And when there is passion in what you do, you see the difference! I like thinking and telling about your wedding in a different way: the newlyweds have to live and enjoy every moment of that day and share every moment with their loved ones. That is why I like to become “invisible” and catch details, shades, glances, moods and going on gestures. My job is a wonderful job and every time that one of my pictures can stir up emotions or recollections in people looking at it I think that considering it as “wonderful” is still not enough...
ON ME Born as a graphic, photography soon became my reason for living. In my spare time, I work the FIMO and practical scrapbooking, I watch films or take long walks with my bowler and Piero. An only child, I love my family and my friends with all my heart. I am married to Fabrizio the love of my life. Optimistic, idealistic, rational, touchy, ambitious, enthusiastic, fussy and creative. I love traveling, nature, animals, going out, partying, the sea, walking on the beach, snow, winter, chocolate, festivals, concerts, music, talking with friends, but also with those who don't I know, traveling by train, driving a car, tattoos, piercings, design, colors, toys, waking up late in the morning and having a late-night smell of coffee, sipping herbal tea while reading a book MY PHILOSOPHY I really wanted to let you know that I am aware of the importance of my work. The moment I portray you, your family, your children, I don't take a simple photograph, I do a lot more, I build a memory, I stop an emotion and enormous feelings. I know how great the value of an image can be, how much it can tell and guard. Photography is not just something aesthetically beautiful, it is the perfect preservation of memory, it is a witness, and it is also a tool for dreams and imagination. I hope that in the future my images can make a child happy, at least as much as they could do with me. Taking pictures is not a simple gesture, but rather a pure act of love!
Photography and people are Joshua’s two greatest passions. Utterly curious – a nice legacy she got from her grandmother – she loves to meet new people, observe them and capture what they are all about. She is both outgoing and calm so to make everyone feel at ease. Very patient, she has a special radar for shenanigans. Her goal is to document small but great moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, to capture the moment just as it felt that day. She is a visual storyteller. Mostly self-taught, she has been a professional photographer for the last 11 years, full time since 2013. She is based in Antwerp, Belgium, and travels in (and sometimes out) Europe for Family, Day in the Life sessions and Weddings. She is at her best when shooting true, unstaged and profound moments and events – in a relaxed atmosphere.
I have always been passionate about cinema and since childhood, I was clear that I wanted to devote myself to audiovisual art. Hanging from a camera wherever I went, I decided that I wanted to dedicate myself professionally to my passion. I enrolled in Audiovisual Communication to acquire knowledge and become a specialist in different languages: photography, cinema, videos, multimedia, television, and radio. During the last years of my career, I launched myself into the world of work and began to work in films as "meritorious decoration." It was an interesting job because of my passion for cinema, but the decoration was not my thing, so I started to alternate different jobs as an edition and camera assistant. In 2004 I graduated and at the time I had the possibility, I took a camera and started recording and working as a camera operator. It was what I really liked and where I was going to put all my effort. During my professional career, I have worked with many producers, making fiction, advertising, corporate and programs. From each and everyone, I draw a valuable experience.
By taking pictures of my sons, the value of small everyday moments became and becomes really clear to me. I photograph them during game and mischief, during fun moments and crying parties, during fraternization and quarrels. These pictures say so much about them and their personality that I am sure that they will cherish these memories the most later. I also want to realize these memories with you. I live and work in Landegem near Ghent, but as a photographer, I come everywhere. A trip abroad is also perfectly possible.
Willeke Kieft is a documentary family photographer who lives in the Netherlands. She has been photographing people for years now and developed a documentary style. Her passion: Connect | Capture real, pure moments in all-day life | Secure intimacy for life & generations | Represents unique family connection & interactions by storytelling photos. Willeke lives with her boyfriend Ralph and her two beloved energetic sons in Arnhem, the city she loves because of the green nature that surrounds it. She loves life; small things make her happy like a full moon, sunrays, a beautiful little bird in her garden, the smell of springtime, the smile of a stranger, kids conversations and kids fantasy plays. She looks forward meeting new people and discover new places. Also when this is outside the Netherlands, actually, she loves to!
Better known as Tia Karol, a gaucho resident in Ribeirão Preto, I'm in love with the world of mothering and photography since 2011. I can't talk about my profession, not to mention my family, who really demonstrates who I am, and that makes me admire to register the daily life. The smile of everyday life, the jokes, the learning phases, all teach me so much and change my gaze as a photographer day after day. My goal is to be able to photograph each family in their individuality, their personality, that the essence is recorded in a timeless way. I want the smiles to be repeated year after year, the moments to be relived as I look at an image I could have the happiness of making, as I smile when I see the happiness of my family. And with all this love, for families and photographs, I want every person who passes through my lens to become part of this circle of affection as well. May friendships are cultivated, stories shared, and everything is done with love and simplicity. With love!
My career as a working photographer began when I was a journalist. It often occurred that I would abandon the pen in favour of the camera, in order to adequately express my need to tell stories through photos. I feel very privileged to ‘tell the story’ of memorable moments of your life, capturing all the beauty and authenticity of your environment, while enjoying the freedom of expression and creativity that I experience through photography.
Of course, I am a mother.. two young daughters that are up to no good most of the time.. and that creates wonderful, real and true moments! Funny or sweet, naughty or nice, it's all there! So, therefore, I absolutely love shooting families. But for me... it goes a bit further.. in this day and time we are all so busy, on our phones, on social media and working. Therefore I believe we need these Family moments. We need to go outside.. shut down our phones, and play. Just have fun... let kids be kids. and my heart melts when I'm there capturing those wonderful, precious moments. I've always had a thing with kids, I seem to attract them and relate to them. Is it because I'm really short and up to their level? Or because I never lost the kid in myself? Anyway.. it really helps and I can capture kids how they truly are! Those little unique characters.. always amazing when parents tell me I've captured their true spirit!
My approach to family and wedding photography is that of a documentary. I do not intervene, or really little, and I prefer the capture of candid images. My main goal is to tell your story and to transcribe in images what moves me in your real life. With this in mind, I am particularly attentive to MOMENTS. I want to leave you something about the beauty of your family ties, and I like to document with sincere and authentic photographs, the life of the families who entrust me with this beautiful mission.
Professional family photographer since 2011. I love shooting authentic images, candid shots that capture real moments as they occur naturally throughout the day. These images are my main focus when shooting families. And I strongly believe they are the most important and the most relevant images of a family. I try to be as unintrusive as possible. Although I'm not “a fly on the wall” - I tend to stay in the middle of the action, working close to people with my wide-angle lens.
Fábio Azanha has been photographing professionally since 2005 in the area of Fashion and Advertising back in his native Brazil. He is currently based in Portugal and while many of his clients are local or based in the side of the Iberian peninsula he has also traveled to many countries and has had a privilege to photograph destination photography. He has been recognized and awarded for his unique vision and quality of work both locally and internationally.
It all began more than thirty years ago: a childhood rocked by distant travels, the stories of great explorers, in the midst of world maps and 16mm film rushes, then the discovery of silver and silver photography of the dark room. But fifteen years in the world of large companies, in France and abroad - including several years in South America - made me feel the need to slow down the course of my life to find my first wonders, and the ability to observe and decipher our world to make it more intimate. Photography, which until then had naturally and discreetly accompanied me, suddenly took a more important place. I took a step by perfecting myself at the Gobelins School of Image. Today, as a family photographer, I share myself between Paris, the Mediterranean, Brittany and long journeys, which remain a great passion and source of inspiration.
