Documentary Family Photography for Limburg, Flanders
Are you Ready to Schedule a Documentary Family Photo Session?
FAMILY COMES FIRST - Recently, some of our Flanders family photojournalists have communicated their readiness to work with families who are able to carry on with their normal life and who want it documented. Family Photojournalist Association professional members offer a distinct and natural style of unobtrusive photography that will capture genuine, candid moments of you, your children, and even extended family enjoying time together...everyone gets in the pictures and you will likely forget the photographer is even there.
The purpose of documentary family photography is to tell a story — your story. You will be able to feel the love that you have for one another in the images. You will see the beauty that results when you are not posed or directed by your photographer to sit in a contrived position and smile on command at the camera. The FPJA has an abundance of top-ranked, Limburg family photographers who are available right now. Find yours today!

In 2007 I graduated as a photographer at the Media and Design Academy in Genk. I am established as a photographer in Limburg and more specifically Hasselt, but I work throughout Flanders and far beyond! Since I am the father of two fantastic daughters and son I also like to make portraits of children and babies. This way you can book a "Day in the Life" session with me. At a Day In The Life session, I walk with your family for half a day or a whole day. I photograph you as you are at that moment and follow you in the ordinary things of the day. That means that we do what you want. Standing along the line on the football field, eating pancakes after a refreshing walk through the woods, staring out the window, playing mischief, going to grandpa and grandma, putting on princess dresses with girlfriends, ...
Friends tell me I am a man with many hobbies. "You do everything, don't you?" Well, I can't deny that. I have a curious mind and I try a lot of different things and some things stick with me. That's how I started skateboarding, (wind)surfing, riding a motorcycle, learned to fix this motorcycle, and rebuild an old moped. Broadening my mind and learning different skills is what gives me energy. However varied these hobbies might seem, what I experience by mastering new skills is the rough, pure, and real sense of life. Jumping off a curb with your skateboard has something pure. No focus and you will fall, too tense and you will fall, a foggy head, and you will fall. This means there has to be some kind of balance between focus and relaxation. Unimportant elements of the day will disappear into the background and you only live this very moment, and that is 'real'. With my photography, I am looking for these pure and real moments. When I take pictures, I capture life how it is and goes. This means that in a family shoot everyone is allowed to decide for themselves what they wear that day, or how tidy the house is. Life consists of so many things that have to be done, that are supposed to be or that are not allowed. Leave it! Let it flow, it doesn't matter, beautiful moments arise everywhere, I'll capture them.
Limburg Outdoor Family Photography
Even in an age of restrictions and limitations, you can safely enjoy a photo shoot in an outdoor location with small groups of people or families. Your FPJA Limburg family photographer can easily capture candid moments of the kids playing and interacting from a safe distance. These days, outdoor sessions are often the best option for sincere photographs, because people of all ages feel more comfortable and laid back while they are outside and unrestricted. In these large, open spaces, you and your family can simply spend time together doing your typical routine while your photographer focuses on the art of storytelling.

Limburg Birth Sessions at Home or Hospital
The birth of your child is an experience that is filled with both beauty and chaos. It’s a moment in time that you won’t want to forget, yet it’s an experience in which the details may fade away in the coming weeks, months and years. To capture the first moments in which you meet your baby and those first special hours together, you should enlist the help of a Limburg documentary birth photographer. An experienced family photographer who specializes in documentary birth sessions will be able to capture your labor journey, the birth experience and the immediate reaction that you have when you see your baby’s face for the first time — all while respecting your space. The right photographer will be able to use discretion while focusing on the fleeting moments that you will want to remember from your birth experience. Whether you plan to give birth at home or at the hospital, you can book a documentary birth session with a professional reportage-style birth photographer.
