Are you Ready to Schedule a Documentary Family Photo Session?
FAMILY COMES FIRST - Recently, some of our Australia family photojournalists have communicated their readiness to work with families who are able to carry on with their normal life and who want it documented. Family Photojournalist Association professional members offer a distinct and natural style of unobtrusive photography that will capture genuine, candid moments of you, your children, and even extended family enjoying time together...everyone gets in the pictures and you will likely forget the photographer is even there.
The purpose of documentary family photography is to tell a story — your story. You will be able to feel the love that you have for one another in the images. You will see the beauty that results when you are not posed or directed by your photographer to sit in a contrived position and smile on command at the camera. The FPJA has an abundance of top-ranked, New South Wales family photographers who are available right now. Find yours today!

Kia Ora - hello! I'm Liz, a documentary wedding and family photographer based in beautiful Christchurch, New Zealand. I grew up in sunny Sydney, Australia, and all of my extended family are there, but my husband and I, along with our 4 kids, have called New Zealand home for the past decade. I have loved photography for as long as I can remember, receiving my first film camera as an 8-year old I grew up behind the lens, but my greatest love is people. People are simply fascinating! Being a sociology student also helped to foster my love for the uniqueness of the human spirit and to hone my observation skills. I am passionate about telling personal stories through photography as a medium, there is so much depth that can be seen and felt through a simple gesture or a facial expression that words alone could never express. I love working with all types of kids and families, having been a parent since 2005, there's nothing I haven't seen before! I also love to work with special needs families to tell your beautiful stories too. In 2019 I was showcased at the Elevate and Grow photography exhibition in Austin, Texas. I love to travel so please get in touch even if you are outside New Zealand. I visit Australia frequently and I have family and friends in all states so I'm happy to travel anywhere. I'm so looking forward to connecting with you, let's grab a virtual (or real) coffee and chat. I can communicate in French and NZSL (New Zealand Sign Language) also - which shares similarities with BSL and Auslan. If you are deaf and interested in booking with me I would love to connect with you via Glide or Zoom. Arohanui.
I’m Nadja, a documentary family photographer, based in Melbourne, Australia. I’m quiet and curious, hopelessly bad at small talk and obsessed with photography. And, I hate coriander. I’m well and truly an introvert, but I’m fascinated by people. When I walk my dog in the evenings, I often wonder what’s happening behind the windows and doors that we pass. Are they having dinner? Is someone refusing to eat their veggies? Are they telling each other about the best thing that happened today? Was there a meltdown at bath time because the youngest hates to have her hair washed? Does Dad read a bedtime story about dragons or dinosaurs? Is mum tucking her kids into bed and longing for that glass of wine or moment of quiet? I’d love to know everyone’s story, but I’m often too shy to ask. I firmly believe that everyone has a story to tell. Some may be short, others rather long, some give you a lot of details, others leave a lot of questions, some are colourful, some are monochrome. But most importantly, all are unique and beautiful in their own right. A few years ago, not long after my girls were born, I started telling the story of my family through photography. It soon turned into an obsession (a healthy one) and now, I’d like to tell yours!

New South Wales Birth Sessions at Home or Hospital
