Hey there! I am Jess, a photographer in Bath, Somerset. I am also a first-time mum to my beautiful little Edward, a wife and cat mama to our feisty cat Agatha. I am a documentary family photographer and my sessions include Day In The Life, Families, Newborn and Maternity. I studied fine art at Edinburgh College of Art. I also studied documentary photography at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) during an exchange for 3 months. I believe that life should be documented as it is, messy, crazy, chaotic, laughter filled, tear filled and REAL. I've trained with Monet Nicole and Jennifer Mason, some of the world's best birth and family documentary photographers. I love to capture families in their most authentic, real, honest and vulnerable ways. My photography will provide you with a snapshot of a moment in time; those expressions when they brush their teeth, or their sleepy faces first thing in the morning. These are the memories you will wish you had documentation of. And I guarantee you will feel at ease in my company and we can create your beautiful story together.
Documenting Life, Love and Family across Bournemouth, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and throughout the UK. My name is Will Bazlinton. I’m a wedding, family & portrait photographer living and working in Bournemouth, Dorset, on the beautiful Jurassic Coast, in South West England. I graduated from UCA in Surrey 2002 with a BA in photography, where I specialised in portraiture. I’m interested in people and the way they connect with each other – essentially, I photograph relationships. I photograph things to remember them and to understand them. So, I photograph people to understand them and their stories a little more (and consequently, a little more about myself).
I’ve been a professional portrait photographer for many years working with many families and children of all ages, as well as plenty of babies and newborns. Unlike most family portrait photographers, I aim to avoid anything staged or forced. Instead, I photograph my portraits in the same natural and authentic documentary style. I shoot mostly in black and white during these family sessions as I find it helps to convey the personalities, atmosphere and fun over and above colour, which can often be distracting.
