Australia and New South Wales Family Photographer, Dean Dampney

Dean Dampney's background is as a Newspaper Photojournalist. With 10 years of experience as a Freelance Photojournalist/Editorial Photographer, Dean has found his true calling in Wedding Photojournalism. Combining his love of people and a lifetime documentary project focusing on the joy of being, Wedding Photojournalism spans Dean's personal and professional photography worlds. Dean is a highly awarded member of the Artistic Guild of Wedding Photojournalists. "No one photographs children like Dean Dampney. Unsentimental, agile images allow us to enter a world of childhood we thought was long forgotten. Dampney portrays and emphasizes, the importance of free play for children - activities so seemingly careless, they are generally prohibited by over-protective parents. These activities are found and photographed by Dampney in the seashore, nature or simply around the home. In preparing a book and exhibition of "From Innocence and Back", this photographer deserves every support. Such images are priceless, both for their archival value - and the deeply accurate insight into the ephemeral world of children they reveal. That this world is being eroded by forces both environmental and political makes his project all the more timely." - Robert McFarlane, Photographer, and Writer. 2012.

Hong Kong Family Photographer Ronnie Szeto

I studied History back in my University time, but besides my major study, I joined a documentary filmmaking course taught by a local veteran producer. That was when I started to discover my interest in videography and photography. Once graduated in 2008, I saved most of my salary from my first job and bought my first ever camera. I became more addicted to photography, and especially family photojournalism, because it has the magic to freeze a moment and tell a great story. Thanks to another experienced teacher, I was able to learn from him more advanced photographic techniques and philosophy, and gradually I have engaged myself with wedding and family photography.
