Antwerpen Family Photographers

Photographers in Antwerpen for Family, Vacation, Birth

Antwerp, Mechelen, Turnhout

We take a documentary, real-life, real-settings approach to photographing your family’s daily events, outings, reunions or parties. And as documentary photographers, we’re not looking to pose your family into a “funny” situation or stage-direct your celebrations. We just know that families look their best “acting naturally” — because they’re not acting, they’re actually enjoying themselves!

Antwerp family and wedding photographer Joshua Dhondt - FPJA of Belgium and Flanders

Photography and people are Joshua’s two greatest passions. Utterly curious – a nice legacy she got from her grandmother – she loves to meet new people, observe them and capture what they are all about. She is both outgoing and calm so to make everyone feel at ease. Very patient, she has a special radar for shenanigans. Her goal is to document small but great moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, to capture the moment just as it felt that day. She is a visual storyteller. Mostly self-taught, she has been a professional photographer for the last 11 years, full time since 2013. She is based in Antwerp, Belgium, and travels in (and sometimes out) Europe for Family, Day in the Life sessions and Weddings. She is at her best when shooting true, unstaged and profound moments and events – in a relaxed atmosphere.

Antwerpen family photography by Christophe De Mulder - Serving Belgium and Flanders.

I was born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium. At a young age, I received my first camera as a birthday gift. Immediately, I started making pictures of everything and everybody around me. And I never stopped :) Now, being a father of two, I truly see the power of family photography. Not the posed portraits, that don't have any emotion in them, but the real moments. Moments that are not always beautiful (strawberries on a white rug, tantrums in the bathtub,...) but that I want to remember when my kids will be all grown up. Moments that show how a family sticks together, loves and comforts each other. And that's exactly what I want to give my clients.

Pieter Vandenhoudt is a Belgium Family Photographer from Flanders and Antwerpen

This is me, Natasja, married and mother of 3 young, sweet girls. Living in Breda with our cats and reptiles. My hobbies are hand lettering, reading, sports, and photography. I once graduated as a chemical analyst and worked in various laboratories for more than 7 years. In 2010 our first child was born and for the time being, I decided to stay home for her and later her sisters. After a few years, I thought it was time to make some space for myself and my creativity. I started taking a basic photography course. With this I could do what I like: photography. And also learn a lot there. After following the basic photography course in 2014 at the School for Photography, I decided to do the Photography course in 2016 as well. I proudly completed this at the beginning of 2017. Then the question is always asked; "What do you want to do with it?" I mainly followed both courses because I get a lot of positive energy from photography. And with a clear assignment in mind, it works just a little more effectively. By doing things that you like, that give you energy, you are more positive in life.
