I was born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium. At a young age, I received my first camera as a birthday gift. Immediately, I started making pictures of everything and everybody around me. And I never stopped :) Now, being a father of two, I truly see the power of family photography. Not the posed portraits, that don't have any emotion in them, but the real moments. Moments that are not always beautiful (strawberries on a white rug, tantrums in the bathtub,...) but that I want to remember when my kids will be all grown up. Moments that show how a family sticks together, loves and comforts each other. And that's exactly what I want to give my clients.
I photograph as I paint and that is quite dark. I love melancholy, light, love, and self-mockery. From Sally Mann, Tim Burton, Lars von Trier & Darren Aronofsky. But also of honesty, purity, and serenity ... I am an old soul and have been swimming quite a lot. That made me a very positive person with a lot of perseverance. I am always cheerful and smiley and have an incredible amount of patience for everything and everyone - except myself;) An extroverted introvert, very insecure alongside my self-assured me. Always looking for people who see the world as I see it: beautiful, wonderful, tolerant, and therefore entirely for everyone. I take your photos, your memories and that is why I think it is very important that you feel addressed to who I am. Only with whom you feel good can you let go of everything and be yourself.
In 2007 I graduated as a photographer at the Media and Design Academy in Genk. I am established as a photographer in Limburg and more specifically Hasselt, but I work throughout Flanders and far beyond! Since I am the father of two fantastic daughters and son I also like to make portraits of children and babies. This way you can book a "Day in the Life" session with me. At a Day In The Life session, I walk with your family for half a day or a whole day. I photograph you as you are at that moment and follow you in the ordinary things of the day. That means that we do what you want. Standing along the line on the football field, eating pancakes after a refreshing walk through the woods, staring out the window, playing mischief, going to grandpa and grandma, putting on princess dresses with girlfriends, ...
Photography and people are Joshua’s two greatest passions. Utterly curious – a nice legacy she got from her grandmother – she loves to meet new people, observe them and capture what they are all about. She is both outgoing and calm so to make everyone feel at ease. Very patient, she has a special radar for shenanigans. Her goal is to document small but great moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, to capture the moment just as it felt that day. She is a visual storyteller. Mostly self-taught, she has been a professional photographer for the last 11 years, full time since 2013. She is based in Antwerp, Belgium, and travels in (and sometimes out) Europe for Family, Day in the Life sessions and Weddings. She is at her best when shooting true, unstaged and profound moments and events – in a relaxed atmosphere.
About 35 years ago I received my very first camera as a gift for my solemn communion. Among other things, I took pictures of the rhubarb in our garden, something that my father made fun of. Professionally I sought refuge in the catering industry and later in journalism, where a thorough knowledge of photography proved to be an interesting added value. From 2010 I followed countless photography modules in evening school, and since the number of published photos and assignments started to get in the way of my work as a journalist, I have been professionally fully involved in photography since 2019.
By taking pictures of my sons, the value of small everyday moments became and becomes really clear to me. I photograph them during game and mischief, during fun moments and crying parties, during fraternization and quarrels. These pictures say so much about them and their personality that I am sure that they will cherish these memories the most later. I also want to realize these memories with you. I live and work in Landegem near Ghent, but as a photographer, I come everywhere. A trip abroad is also perfectly possible.
Born in Ghent and living in Aalst. Married with Heike and father of Mon (6) and Miene (4). Together, my everything. In addition, I love the sea, music, sour sweets and photography of course. For me, photography is a hobby that got out of hand. After enthusiastic reactions to my travel photos, friends sometimes asked me to photograph their children or even their marriage. And successfully, because many tens of thousands of photos later, I was able to make my profession out of photography. My style? Spontaneous, romantic, no-nonsense photography. But above all: unusual. Furthermore, I am quite a calm and down-to-earth guy. Absolutely no big noise or someone who pushes you too much. You can safely pose for a photo, but just as well I just walk the entire day in your shadow and I give a clue here and there. If you are only in the spotlight, I will ensure that I have captured the best moments.
Of course, I am passionate about family photography! You notice that when you see me working professionally. What do you get to see? A professional photographer who works professionally and efficiently, who knows how to behave correctly in every situation and who discreetly moves to take sneaky and almost invisible beautiful pictures for you. Someone who does not shy away from crawling or lying on the ground with one goal: the ideal photo. But behind the family photographer, there is also a person with his own personality. After all, you know who you can expect on the other side of the camera when you book me. Anyone can take photos, but to create images that are really overflowing with emotion, you have to be particularly comfortable with the lens and that is only possible if it clicks not only on the camera but also between us!
Family photographer from Ghent, mother of two, book lover and (slightly) chocolate addict. And I especially like to capture the family story in a photo. I am a self-taught photographer. I bought my first camera with my very first pay at the age of 23. Finally! I learned the basics at evening school and then I developed further on my own. Long live the internet - a source of endless inspiration and tips. A few years later I started as a photographer in secondary occupation. And when I was 32, I decided to go for it. Now or never. Fully freelance photographer. And wow, how blissful. I work harder than ever before but most of the time it doesn't even feel like working.
This is me, Natasja, married and mother of 3 young, sweet girls. Living in Breda with our cats and reptiles. My hobbies are hand lettering, reading, sports, and photography. I once graduated as a chemical analyst and worked in various laboratories for more than 7 years. In 2010 our first child was born and for the time being, I decided to stay home for her and later her sisters. After a few years, I thought it was time to make some space for myself and my creativity. I started taking a basic photography course. With this I could do what I like: photography. And also learn a lot there. After following the basic photography course in 2014 at the School for Photography, I decided to do the Photography course in 2016 as well. I proudly completed this at the beginning of 2017. Then the question is always asked; "What do you want to do with it?" I mainly followed both courses because I get a lot of positive energy from photography. And with a clear assignment in mind, it works just a little more effectively. By doing things that you like, that give you energy, you are more positive in life.
