FAMILY COMES FIRST - Recently, some of our Europe family photojournalists have communicated their readiness to work with families who are able to carry on with their normal life and who want it documented. Family Photojournalist Association professional members offer a distinct and natural style of unobtrusive photography that will capture genuine, candid moments of you, your children, and even extended family enjoying time together...everyone gets in the pictures and you will likely forget the photographer is even there.
The purpose of reportage family photography is to tell a story — your story. You will be able to feel the love that you have for one another in the images. You will see the beauty that results when you are not posed or directed by your photographer to sit in a contrived position and smile on command at the camera. The FPJA has an abundance of top-ranked, France family photographers who are available right now. Find yours today!

At 31 years of age, I am the proud mother of a beautiful 7-year-old doll and ‘mother-in-law’ to two more dolls aged 5 and 10. Being in love with a photographer, photography has always been a large part of my life. Having been raised by a photography enthusiast, I had a camera in my hands at a very young age, whether I was on summer camps, with my friends, or even on a walk. Therefore, becoming a photographer was a natural choice, and I completed my studies in the field near Montpellier. I especially enjoy looking back on photos of my childhood or the initial years of my daughter’s life. These photos are priceless, often kept close by or hung up in our house. The most amusing thing is that my daughter is usually the one taking them out. She will often sit down on the sofa and take a trip down memory lane, revisiting these little moments.
My personal photographic heritage is quite poor and I often regret it, all those moments that I let fall through time ... In the continuity of my work for the couples in the wedding universe, I like to capture the moments of life, the real life. This motivates my professional goals, follow you on a chosen moment in order to propose images that will allow you to constitute a precious family patrimony. Your family is beautiful, see you soon.

I got my first camera for my 12th birthday. It was an amazing gift for me. I had always seen my mother take her camera during our holidays or special occasions and make her own photo albums. I was finally going to be able to take photos myself, have them developed, and create my own albums! How much time I spent with my mother choosing the photos, organizing them, and looking at them… These albums followed me permanently. As a student, they sat in my little university room. All my friends without exception were entitled to a viewing that could last an entire evening. I then had my first SLR (always analog... the thing with film), with which I started to take photos other than to keep memories. It was at this time that I developed an artistic side in my photos. I liked to photograph particular things, details that people didn't look at or see. I went for a walk in nature and I took photos of tree roots, shadows, trunks… I photographed pigeons, plants, old stones, etc… It was also the time of my first black & white films. Then came the new digital era (youhouhou)! Having been used to film, I did not photograph without thinking (but it was still very nice and much cheaper...) A certain magic left with the film, moreover some photographers come back to it. One day maybe me too... Who knows? I started to subscribe to photo magazines, to look at my environment differently. But photography was then only a passion that I hardly had the time to practice... Then my studies finished, and I worked while continuing to photograph as soon as I had the opportunity. I was only an amateur but I did with my means and I liked it. It took some time before I really embarked on this crazy adventure, and in February 2014, I created my own business! I traveled at home (or outdoors) to do Pregnancy, Newborn and Family photo shoots, as I still do. But during the first 2 years, I proposed 2 ways of photographing during the same session: Natural and Pose (with accessories and backgrounds, almost like in the studio). There are indeed several ways to approach photography. I quickly realized that the "posed" and "props" part didn't suit me, but it took me a while to make the decision to completely stop this part. Now that I only do “natural” photos based on authenticity and emotions, I blossom more, I find myself and I take even more pleasure in photo shoots.

Hi, I'm Myriam, a wedding and family photographer based in Alpes-Maritimes. I specialize in capturing natural family photos that evoke authentic emotions and preserve precious memories. I love to use color, black and white, lines, and graphics to bring out the beauty of the moment. I offer fun family sessions, pregnancy sessions with natural light, and birth photo sessions at home.

I am a lover of life. I love the smell of damp earth in spring, hearing the laughter, marveling at Mother Nature, and tasting all the gourmet pleasures. But above all, I am an unconditional lover of my son, Gabriel, and my lover. My man is one of the good people, he is a farmer who works day after day, in the heat of the south and the cold of winter. Hard work gives enormous satisfaction. We live in the great outdoors with our animals, a simple life, sometimes difficult but wonderful. It was by looking at family albums with my grandmother when I was a child that photography became an extension of me. A daily happiness cure. The question of why then became essential. It testifies to the importance that the image has taken on in my life. All those little things that remind us every day that life is short.

I am Marine, professional photographer since 2002, mother of 2 beautiful children, based in Paris, France. What moves me? Love, of course! I'm addicted to emotions, I like the laughter, the tears of joy, and the impression they leave in our hearts. I love family albums, how they trace our history and define us. That is why I really think it's important to keep beautiful images of the highlights of our lives. After studying philosophy and acquiring a degree in visual arts, I became, in 2002, an assistant to Marc Riboud (former president of Magnum Photos). At the same time I produced my first photojournalistic assignments, interested in relations between individuals, family and living areas. Until 2007, I created photojournalistic assignments, working with French press and performed in parallel event-reports, and private (portraits, weddings, etc. ...). In 2007, I became a mother for the first time and found it difficult to balance work and motherhood. Ernestine et sa famille is a life plan to adapt my professional life to my family life in harmony with my values. Today, I propose my photojournalistic expertise for your corporate and private events. Taking the time to know you, to really understand who you are, and your relationships with those you love, that's the secret of my work and gives it meaning. I produce wedding and life photo-reportage. I have a candid and documentary approach. No matter if it's your wedding day or a day in your family life, the way i work is the same, i document your day, capturing the story of your day, and putting human being at the center of my attention. I tell a story, your story. REAL LIFE IS SO MORE INTERESTING! I tell a story, your story.

I started taking photos for the birth of my first daughter. Then I liked it so much that I perfected myself, completely self-taught at the start. Until 2021 I was in double activity, my job was an electronics technician, I repaired all types of devices, in particular smartphones. Today I'm 100% in the photo and I really love it! What a pleasure to immortalize wonderful memories. My approach is above all based on discretion. In order to capture on the spot each of your emotions and those of your loved ones. My style is above all based on the natural and on capturing the moments as they really happened. Live, Share, Laugh, Like & Transmit!

I love stories. Great stories and everyday stories. I started photography when I was 12. A friend gave me a camera because she thought I was "able". Then I shot stories, real or written. I started my professional activity while I was finishing my studies in a great french Cinema School. I love the moment, and I love when I capture one. I love instant and instinct. I don't like to talk about myself, my photographs are more talkative. I'm french, working in Pau, Biarritz and worldwide. I'm 39, two daughters.

Because the family is joys, sadness, clean meals, dirty meals, games, holidays, real life, children, parents and even grandparents. Because family is all that, so I want to photograph real families. I like portraits hanging on the wall of the house but I also like family albums that we look at Christmas and tells our story. I am a documentary family photographer. I have been this human photographer for a few years now. My work is done on Lyon but not only. Many of the photographs you will see were taken in Paris, Geneva, Courchevel .. And I want to come to meet you in Barcelona, Madrid, London, Berlin. I like to travel and I like to meet you.

My approach to family and wedding photography is that of a documentary. I do not intervene, or really little, and I prefer the capture of candid images. My main goal is to tell your story and to transcribe in images what moves me in your real life. With this in mind, I am particularly attentive to MOMENTS. I want to leave you something about the beauty of your family ties, and I like to document with sincere and authentic photographs, the life of the families who entrust me with this beautiful mission.

I have been a photographer since 2014. Before that, I was in charge of HR in big corporate business; photography at first was a way to let out some steam, it was a very demanding job requiring a lot of letting go. One day I got fed up with my job, decided to devote my time to my passion and started retraining. Today, I can reconnect with what I liked in my HR job, help people write their own stories and memories. I need it, it’s my fuel. Family photography is my media to tell a story and render what I learned about people. It helps me keep faith in humanity and in feelings we too often try to hide. I also do a lot of corporate photography along with personal projects.
I'm a lifestyle photographer since 2015 in France, around Lyon. In love with the arts and above all with manual work, I immediately knew that I wanted to be an artist. Every year I do two or three different workshops with some very nice photographers. Learning to go beyond myself and finding my style is important to me, I need that. I realize every day that passes the happiness that I have to do this exceptional job. A chance to work with you, to let my curiosity wander through your stories. It is often said that curiosity is a bad thing, it is for me the opportunity to know you better to create images that look like you. I do this job out of passion and because I do not see myself doing anything else.

I’m Maëlle, freshly in my thirties, in love with life and its little happiness! I have been a wedding and family photographer since 2015, and I also accompany professionals. I intervene for great magic moments and small everyday moments, in a good mood (always!) And in a simple, natural and gentle way. My goal is to illustrate life with a documentary approach to create a nice creative report. Life, the real what! I live in Quimper, in Brittany, and I travel all over France.

I am a social photographer specializing in lifestyle reportage (family-couple-pregnancy, wedding), based in the Paris region, and mobile throughout France. But not only! I also work on event projects (associations, sports) and societal projects that I find just as exciting. The corporate for craftsmen also interests me. To put it simply, everything related to life and people, in real life. Do not hesitate to contact me for your projects, and let's create together! I am curious and passionate and I have at heart to restore the authenticity and density of the subjects on which I work.

My name is Pierrick, and I live in Paris with my wife and my little boy. A few years ago, I had just finished my business studies when I bought my first camera - and it was love at first sight. I was immediately seized by the pleasure of putting my eye in the viewfinder, of composing images, of creating small moments of eternity. I resumed my studies, in cinema this time, at the ENS Louis Lumière: three years to learn to tell stories with images and sounds. I sharpened my sense of light and setting, making my first short films while developing my activity as a lifestyle photographer. It has been 9 years now that I have had the chance to make a living from my passion, and I am still so enthusiastic about the idea of putting a new project into pictures! If you like the style of my images, if you want to discuss my work or a project you have in mind, I will be more than happy to read you!

Ambre is an award-winning wedding and family photojournalist based in Auvergne. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in photography in the Ecole de Condé, Northern France, in 2014, and her work has been exhibited in France, Portugal and Canada.

In a few words ... I am extremely emotional, in love with life and all its little pleasures. I'm of a spirit still not very adult and often in its bubble ... Touched by the photos which suggest an emotion, a face, a fleeting moment. Passionate about blur rather than reportage images, backs rather than clearly visible faces, stolen looks rather than posed portraits, it is important for me that my images make you timeless and return you to your most poetic emotions ways. Quite simply, let's bring our senses to life! Laugh, live, love, vibrate ... I will be there to make the seconds eternal. Photos don't always have to contain a face to express characters. Mine is tinged with softness, intimacy, mystery, poetry ... But above all, intensity!

I’m a documentary familly photographer . I live in Lyon but I’m available in all France, Switzerland, the Antilles and even beyond. In fact I go wherever your desires will take us! What I like is sharing a moment with you, time for a walk or a weekend to stop time on this important moment in your life. So that my photos, those I will give you, resemble you and reflect what you are, your personality, your soul, your heart. Get in touch and then enjoy, be yourself I take care of everything!

I bought my first camera in 2014, but who cares. As a travel lover, at first I took a lot of landscape photos. But very quickly, my interest in social photography took over. I like photographing people and above all, I like to highlight the spontaneous interactions between people. The emotions, the laughter, the tears, the couples, their love, the family, the kids and their so precious carelessness... If the photo was initially only a (strong) passion, the evolution of my life and my vision of happiness pushed me to want to live from this passion; to go after my dreams, in a way. (If you have JJ Goldman in mind, that's normal. Don't thank me.) So I try to transcribe these moments of sharing and for that, the reportage style is a natural choice. That is to say that I practically do not pose; I prefer to capture furtive but precious moments, to capture fleeting but important moments. (Actually, these two snippets have the exact same meaning, but I thought it sounded good.)

I was born in Brittany, in Lorient, a region where I still live to this day. I work mainly in Brittany and in the Grand-Ouest, but sometimes I move everywhere in France on demand. And why not further, I have to my credit a few events in Ireland for example. For 20 years photography has been a hobby and I have lived solely from the professional practice of music, especially as a jazz musician. I hope I have retained a taste for harmony but also for improvisation. Jazz and documentary photography have what in common is not being able to foresee everything, organize everything, but to have to be ready to use the unforeseen to make it look beautiful. Today, photography has become my largely predominant activity, but this philosophy of improvisation has deeply permeated my practice.

I live in the Montpellier region, more precisely in St Mathieu de Trviers at the foot of the magnificent Pic Saint Loup. My native country is Belgium, I arrived in France in 2007, and I decided to leave everything for love... Happy father of two adorable children Lucie 7 years old and Loan 11 years old, the woman I love is called Laëtitia. My family means a lot to me, it's my balance! Even though I spend a lot of time behind my camera and my computer screen, I do my best to save time for my family because it is precious. One of our favorite activities is to go boating all 4 or share our outings with family or friends. I like to play sports and I am close to nature, I enjoy recharging my batteries at the water's edge fishing, escaping on a mountain bike or running in our beautiful region! Being a photographer represents everything I love, freedom, creativity, discovery... Much more than a job, it's a passion, I decided to take the big step and go from employee to independent craftsman in 2017, I measure every day how lucky I am to be able to live from photography. Above all this allows me to meet you, I love getting to know you, listening to you to get to know you and photographing the small and big moments of your life!

Young Dad of two scoundrels, 30 years old for 5 years, I am a family photographer. I draw my resources from my family and close friends. I attach great importance to the moments spent with them. I am a photographer to tell. Recounting an era, small moments shared, or major family events. By motorbike or by train, alone or with family, I like to travel. In 2011, it's the big turning point, the journey of a lifetime. I'm embarking on a one-year adventure to the four corners of the world. From this trip, an incredible desire to photograph everything was born. My company was born shortly after this experience. I offer simple and joyful photo shoots, far from the static pose. I like the photos to look like you. I seek the balance between spontaneous photos of reportage and aesthetic photos worthy of these great days. Portraits and stolen moments, for photos of emotion. Contact me and let's take the time to get to know each other.

I am a photographer of family and marriage in Abbeville, in the Somme, in Hauts de France. The distance does not scare me, I am ready to move everywhere in France and even everywhere in the world if you wish. I am Japanese, mother of two children. My childhood was shared between France and Japan and I rubbed French even being in Japan, China, or the United States. I met my dear French husband in Tokyo. I speak perfect French and Japanese and also English (I lived 5 years in the United States, Texas) and a little Chinese. I was often called Little Nao hence the name "Little Nao Photography". I like to immortalize the emotions, the moments on the spot, without artifice, without posing. Discreetly or by interacting with my subjects, I observe and I always stand ready to capture the decisive moments. What I'm trying to photograph is the extraordinary in the ordinary. Whether at a special event or a day like any other, I like to find beauty in banalities. My goal is to tell a story, to allow you to relive the moment through my photographs.

I'm Sandrine, and I'm just over 30 years old. My husband came into my life almost 10 years ago. His humor, not always funny, seduced me, his curiosity and his talent as a guitarist convinced me, our love for the mountains and good wine brought us together. Two adorable little boys have come to complete our happiness, exhaust our energy and move our daily lives... What makes me happy: My eldest son, proud to have put on his shoes on his own… backwards, My little one bursting out laughing when my husband blows on her stomach, Ask me for 5 minutes in their room and watch them sleep: smile when seeing my baby's nose glued to his stuffed animal,... ask me how my big baby manages to sleep across the width of his bed. Share a good meal with friends and forget the time that flies, Open a good bottle of wine with my husband and look like an oenologist, Choose the highest peak, climb to the top and feel very small...

Hello, I'm Ana a Dubai-based documentary family photographer born in Lisbon. Life has been my best school. Every day I learn something new, a roller coaster of moments and emotions. The best part of it is that nothing has been totally perfect but, I learned that it's exactly in all that imperfection that perfection collides. That’s what makes it such a unique journey, so worth living and that’s what creates my own story... Your everyday life is exactly what makes you, YOU. Having your life documented and turned into photographs is what creates your memory archive worth revisiting and will pass your story on to the generations to come. The simplest moments are the most honest, raw, and meaningful ones. I like to capture simplicity through my lens, expect the unexpected and embrace it with the passion I have for photography.

Mom of twins and professional photographer since 2006, I live in the North of Italy, near to Portofino and Cinque Terre, where I run a photographic studio that specializes in newborn, kids and families. The Story Teller project is born to suit the needs of families to have a different kind of session, to create for them memories of their real everyday life. I speak Italian, English and French. Our lives are so busy, there are millions things to do in our everyday life check list, we run so fast that sometimes we don’t even remember to breath. I ask you to stop for a while, to take an entire day only for your family, to realize how lucky you are to live this crazy beautiful life. I will follow you for 24 hours, documenting with my camera all the spontaneous moments that make your family life so special and let you realize how precious it all is.

I was born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium. At a young age, I received my first camera as a birthday gift. Immediately, I started making pictures of everything and everybody around me. And I never stopped :) Now, being a father of two, I truly see the power of family photography. Not the posed portraits, that don't have any emotion in them, but the real moments. Moments that are not always beautiful (strawberries on a white rug, tantrums in the bathtub,...) but that I want to remember when my kids will be all grown up. Moments that show how a family sticks together, loves and comforts each other. And that's exactly what I want to give my clients.

My passion for photography began long ago when I was gifted a camera for my 18th birthday. From this day I traveled around the world with my camera and the beautiful landscapes and wonderful light inspired me to take pictures. Then, the joy of becoming a mother reinforced my artistic eye. I discovered the happiness of seizing the present moments with my children growing up: their games and laughter, their imagination, their joy of discovery and the variety of emotions I could feel. My passion for capturing raw emotion and true moments grew more and more! And little by little it became obvious that I wanted to live my passion and to tell unique stories to last a lifetime. So, I decided to quit my position of professor in biomechanics to become a professional documentary photographer.

By taking pictures of my sons, the value of small everyday moments became and becomes really clear to me. I photograph them during game and mischief, during fun moments and crying parties, during fraternization and quarrels. These pictures say so much about them and their personality that I am sure that they will cherish these memories the most later. I also want to realize these memories with you. I live and work in Landegem near Ghent, but as a photographer, I come everywhere. A trip abroad is also perfectly possible.
