Portrait of Rio de Janeiro family photographer Gisele Soares of Brazil

Through my eyes, I show feelings, reflect emotions and keep beautiful stories in all their naturalness. I seek to document moments often unnoticed when lived or even that over time could fall into oblivion, but they will certainly be very important for every family. I see with my heart, I get involved with the moment and I simply reflect all the emotion, just look at my pictures. The first birth I photographed was the watershed in my life. Before, I just photographed families at events (weddings, 15 years and children's parties). But from it, I decided to study, study and study ... not only techniques related to this type of photography but everything that has to do with births. And I keep studying, always. I do not get tired of studying because I think I'm crawling and I still have a lot to learn. I am a mother, married, family photographer for 5 years, I live in Rio de Janeiro and I am available to go to you to document your history, wherever you want!

São Paulo Family Photography by Marcos Paulo - Brasil FPJA

My name is Mark, Husband of Laryssa, father of Nicolas and Nina. It was through and with their support that I discovered my passion for photography. Many people say that when a child is born, a mother is born, but here too a father and a photographer were born. And I was also reborn as a person, became much more observant, and fascinated by the family and the world of children. My proposal is to get people to take photos, see themselves as they really are, in their virtues and imperfections, making it all the more yummy and real. I hope I can be part of your story! (I.e. A big hug, Marcos Paul.

Portrait of Cuiabá family photographer Lisandro Castro - Serving families in Brazil and Mato Grosso

I am 34 years old, married, the father of Joaquim and João. I am a formation publicist and now a family photographer. When I became a father for the first time I came to see the world in a very different way, with more love, caring, valuing details of family life that I did not realize before. After photographing my own family as a hobby, I decided to specialize in family documentary photography, attending courses and workshops with such great photographers. What do I photograph? I believe a lot in true feelings and that smile that is not for my camera. I am more a spectator and less a director. I believe in my sensitivity to tell stories without interference and without great productions, always seeking natural and spontaneous reactions. I want your family to have a sincere record of who you are so that in the future these photos will bring the best sensations and memories of life.

Portrait of Sao Paulo family photographer Ellen Brito of Brazil

I'm 27 years old, I graduated in Radio and TV in 2013 and throughout this process, I was always sure that I wanted to make a difference for someone. Doing something that would make others happy has always been my personal and professional goal as well. Photography was really a gift that God gave me, after all in my dreams as a child, being a photographer was never on that list of what I wanted to be when I grew up. But the paths were trodden and since 2011 I have been telling beautiful stories through my eyes. In the midst of many challenges, it was in photography that I really found myself and there are no words to explain how I am accomplished photographing families and children. Perhaps the smile in the photo on the right shows this feeling a little. ;) The passion for families and children comes before photography, I have two godchildren, a brother and a nephew, all small and certainly they are the ones that drive me every day to try to be a better "Aunt Ellen", more patient, happier, crazier, more child ... And my photograph automatically became a mirror of what I really live almost daily with my children and my family. I really don't see myself working with anything other than portraying love, joy and turning it all into a sweet memory. Seeing the sparkle in the eyes of customers, surprising them, winning a sincere smile from children, being a child with them again, making sure that photography will be immeasurable in the future of that family, listening to stories, meeting new people, delivering myself body and soul, eternalizing life history, is what moves me. Having the ability to make a person happy with my art really is fantastic. This is food for my soul!

Florianopolis Family Photography by Thiago Braga of Santa Catarina, Brasil

Each time our eyes are searching for even more the details and moments - often unnoticed, to portray life and tell stories with love. Documenting what we like best: the special moment as it really happens. Shooting and witnessing the smile of each family while reliving details of their stories makes us very happy! Thiago Braga Photography is our family. I, Thiago Braga, hopelessly in love with photography, I have been fortunate in recent years to turn this love into a profession. I graduated in Physical Education and started photographing nature. Over time, a lot of dedication and study, I was also enchanted in registering the beauty that exists, of course, in each person and moment. My family has aroused this even more in me. I'm married to Gabi, the father of Kaio and Lara, and I'm lucky to have them by my side supporting me in every job. The Gabi in the day to day of the post-production and in the materials that, with affection, I give to the clients; and my children with the daily dose of inspiration and love that overflow in me. And so, in this walk since 2014, we have had the pleasure of meeting many people and registering beautiful stories.

Lifestyle portrait of Parana family photographer Barbara Abreu of Curitiba Brazil

I'm Bárbara. A crazy photographer, passionate about capturing the unique moments and essence of each family. The birth and the colors of the sunset is what I love the most. My inspiration comes from the big guy up there, my dad. Every day I am more surprised by his immeasurable love for us and how his creation shows his perfection. And my greatest wish is that through my portraits I can immortalize each moment with the same intensity that they were lived, so that they can tell the story of each one. "Whatever you do, do it with your heart."

Portrait of Minas Gerais family photographer Alex Souza - Brazil FPJA

We started in family photography precisely because we had very few pictures of our childhood, some tore and some got lost over time. This further motivated them to photograph families. It is as if we are giving families what we wanted to receive years ago. No doubt this is the biggest reason for our photography.

Sao Paulo Family Photographer Karoline Saadi

Better known as Tia Karol, a gaucho resident in Ribeirão Preto, I'm in love with the world of mothering and photography since 2011. I can't talk about my profession, not to mention my family, who really demonstrates who I am, and that makes me admire to register the daily life. The smile of everyday life, the jokes, the learning phases, all teach me so much and change my gaze as a photographer day after day. My goal is to be able to photograph each family in their individuality, their personality, that the essence is recorded in a timeless way. I want the smiles to be repeated year after year, the moments to be relived as I look at an image I could have the happiness of making, as I smile when I see the happiness of my family. And with all this love, for families and photographs, I want every person who passes through my lens to become part of this circle of affection as well. May friendships are cultivated, stories shared, and everything is done with love and simplicity. With love!

Belo Horizonte family photography by Adriana Costa of Minas Gerais, Brasil

For me, the greatest value of photography is the stories they tell us. That's why I became a family documentary photographer. Documentary photography is an area of photography that aims to tell true stories, the way they actually occur. When turned to families, it allows them to leave to them not only images but records that represent them truly filled with the sensations and emotions that surround them in their experiences. It offers to show what they really are, even with all their imperfections, but in the end, see how beautiful this is! My focus is the simple things of life, the ordinary moments, those that, although they seem banal, are the ones that fill us, build us and allow us to see how we love and how we really are loved! For being a mother and knowing that the best memories of a family take place in our daily life, I have been doing this work with great joy. I am happy to have a mission to offer people a document that will become invaluable in the future for the history of each family. I am in Belo Horizonte (MG, Brazil), but I can go to families from other places who wish to keep memories of their stories.

Gabi Coelho is a family photographer from Alagoas, in Brasil.

I'm a family photographer. Which means I photograph everything that involves feeling among people who love each other. My proposal is to show in my photograph what is behind what everyone sees, what is most special among us: the connections. I want to help every person who chooses my work to tell their stories for many years. I like to imagine the families I have already photographed sitting on a couch on a Sunday afternoon, enjoying all the love in the world and using my photos to remember all the details of the stories. It is good to feel that I am somehow positively part of the life of each of these people. I started shooting professionally in 2014 and, without any modesty, I can say that I am a better and happier person from here to here. I have met people, which is something that fascinates me. I have heard your love stories, I have witnessed these loves. Photography is part of me, it's the way I show myself to the world. And the world has welcomed me very well through it.

I believe in photography as an art that allows me to capture and perpetuate the moments and the distinct phases of life as time passes by.

Rio de Janeiro family photography by Luciana Bello Vermelho, of Brazil FPJA

From an early age, I wanted to be an artist (draftsman, painter, dancer) or a doctor (those who "help babies get out of their belly"). Some of my favorite childhood books were "Where the Babies Come From"; "Mom, how was I born?" and "Born This Way," which I have to this day, more than 30 years later. Only life is life! And it takes different directions, does not it? I graduated in Law! But I never lost my love for childbirth, for art, for people. Only years later, I was finally able to begin to study photography. My goal was to unite the love of always for the art of capturing moments in the form of photos, the love for births. I studied a lot, and I saw that it was exactly what I wanted. In addition, I ended up falling in love with documentary photography, humanistic and photojournalistic photography. I seek to see what no one sees, beauty beautiful and undisclosed. I believe that birth photography is a record of births and "rebirths." The baby is born and the mother is reborn, the woman. The feminine widens, the world gains new colors. A companion is born, brothers, uncles and aunts, grandparents and great-grandparents ... There is nothing more beautiful than witnessing the (re) birth of so many beings together. To photograph a childbirth is to put into images a whirlwind of dreams and feelings: love, joy, enthusiasm ... fears and uncertainties too, why not? tears and smiles ...

I have always been passionate about recording moments with my old camera (and very old), today I see that this passion has become a reality. I have the joy of always recording moments with my family, wherever I go. I joined as a photographer in late 2013 to make my first wedding (without any kind of knowledge). Taís Motta is a family photographer from Sao Paulo, Brasil.

I graduated in Social Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from PUC Campinas and I began to photograph after meeting my fiancé, also a photographer, Vinícius Fadul. At the time he was starting out in the wedding area and, to stay together, I began to accompany him as an assistant lighting. Over time, I took a liking to photography and became its second photographer. I have been photographing for 6 years, and at that time the family photograph moved me, caught my attention, made me look at everything with different eyes. As the family is important in my life, recording these moments and being able to make them a memory for the next generations is an inexplicable sensation and of great value to me.

Chile and Talca family photographer Alvaro Tejeda

Thanks to my work as a photographer I have been fortunate to be able to register my family from the beginning. While my children were young I used my professional camera, lights, backgrounds, etc., but they grew fast and I realized that I couldn't always have everything under control to photograph them like that. Then I began to register them without intervening, accompanying them without directing and so it has been until today. When I see them playing, doing homework or inventing their stories, in the car, in the square, in their room, I record them with what I have on hand, the phone's camera or the old analog camera, then I edit, print and save to create the visual history of our life today, the family album, the treasure of our family. That's why when I register other families in their daily lives, I do it from experience, with a lot of respect and empathy for the moment they are living, because they will always remind me of my own history. We will become aware that this happens very fast, that children grow and so do we. In a short time what we live today will be only memories. We are responsible now for the stories that will be told in the future.

Lívia Delgado photographs families in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.

Born in Teresópolis, a mountain town in the State of Rio de Janeiro, I grew up surrounded by an incredible family and inspiring wolves From an early age I got used to admiring the beautiful and the arts as ways of seeing reality. Graduated in Law, I exercise until today the profession with passion and dedication, qualities that I transpose to all the domains of my personal and professional life. The photograph arose from the need to record my wandering around the world and the people who make my universe more beautiful and happy. Then, I began to study photography technique with a keen eye, in order to eternalize everything that poetically my eyes and lenses can capture. However, no teacher or book is able to teach us to open the soul of the photographed, which is only possible if he generously wants to share his inner world and his experiences.

Portrait of Macaé family photographer Raphael Bozeo, of Rio de Janeiro Brazil

Hi, I'm Raphael, also known as Maria's father and Camila's husband. 8 years ago I went to journalism college to tell stories. I went through the newspaper and website, press office, wrote many chronicles, fables, and short stories until I plunged into photography in 2014. But Maria's arrival in 2017 showed me a new world. I started to register our day to day, the simplest moments and at the same time more special that we live. The time to wake up still with a little sleep, the games of hide and seek in the room of Maria, the walk through the neighborhood in the sling and then in the bibi (cart) and bath time, the most expected moment of the day. I realized that these moments at home are the most incredible in our lives and I decided to take these simple and unique records to other families as well. Our life is not made up of poses, but moments that show our essence. My greatest wish is that the records I make will be remembered in 10, 20 or 30 years as a sweet reminder of who the family is.
